CHILLIWACK, May 18, 2011 – Prospera Centre will be hosting its 6th Annual Open House on Saturday, June 11 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. The arena and local businesses will be showcasing their various products and services, including Tiara Food & Beverage Concepts Ltd. and Prospera Centre’s public programs. This event is an opportunity for Prospera Centre to give back to the community and the one day where the public can truly leave their wallets at home and enjoy some family fun. At least 1500+ people are expected to attend, based on last year’s attendance. This event is intended as a community celebration day and is free for the whole family. There will be free hot dogs and pop (while supplies last), free public ice skating, a bouncy castle and slide, karate demos, belly dancers, a roller derby bout, live music, face painting, balloon twisters and more! “Our Open House has been a huge success in past years, as more than 1500 people join us in celebrating one of Chilliwack’s flagship recreation facilities. We look forward to taking the opportunity, in this fun and festive atmosphere, to say thank you to the community of Chilliwack for another fantastic year,” said Alitha D’Ottavio, Sales and Event Manager.
