University of the Fraser Valley

The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is a comprehensive, public university that enrolls more than 16,000 students per year and is larger than half the universities in Canada. UFV has campuses in Chilliwack, Abbotsford, and Mission, and regional centres in Hope and Agassiz. In September 2012, UFV opened a new Canada Education Park campus at 45190 Caen Avenue. This campus joins the state-of-the-art Trades & Technology Centre opened in 2007.

UFV is large enough to offer variety, and yet our small class sizes allow students to get to know their instructors and learn in a hands-on environment. UFV offers more than 100 programs, including two master’s degrees, 15 bachelor’s degrees, majors, minors, and extended minors in more than 30 subject areas, and more than a dozen trades and technology programs. Continuing studies and academic upgrading offerings make learning a lifelong experience. For detailed course and program information please refer to the UFV website at www.ufv.ca and to the Continuing Studies booklet that is delivered to Fraser Valley households in August and January.

UFV's former Chilliwack campus at Yale Road still houses its award-winning Theatre program (www.ufv.ca/theatre), which produces three main-stage productions each year as well as an annual Directors’ Theatre Festival that features student-directed productions.

UFV is also home to ElderCollege, which provides adults in the Chilliwack area over the age of 50 with access to educational and learning opportunities for the purpose of enriching life and expanding knowledge.
