Description:

The Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association (BIA) is producing the City of Chilliwack Jingle Bell Lane , another exciting addition to our Christmas in the City series of holiday celebrations. On Saturday December 1, 2012 Central Community Park will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland from 4:00 pm to 8:00pm. Like our award winning Party in the Park, we will offer free, family-friendly entertainment, a special tree-lighting, an old-fashioned Christmas carol sing-along and a visit from Santa Claus and lots of special guests! As part of the exciting launch of the holiday season in Downtown Chilliwack the BIA is introducing a new static Christmas Display. This is similar to the parade but with a twist...floats will be stationary forming Jingle Bell Lane. Victoria Avenue, Bole Lane and Central Community park will be illuminated with lights and music for one night only. We are encouraging businesses and individuals, especially former float builders, to create a wonderful Christmas display showcasing what the season means to them. We want to light up the park in celebration of the holiday season! In keeping with last year's excitement we encourage all who attend our events to bring along a canned food or cash donation for the foodbank and support our local merchants by shopping downtown! A full application and specific rules for entry into the Jingle Bell Lane Christmas display is required by November 23, 2012. For more information call 604-792-4576 or email events@downtownchilliwack.com Application is available at: www.downtownchilliwack.com/index.php Click and download PDF version of application on lower right side of home page.
