The first 100 gardeners to register in person (starting at 1:30 that day) will receive a complimentary garden starter seed kit for use with PARGAR 2014 and some just for fun! There will also be an area set aside for seed trading. This event includes two gardening workshops: 2 pm - Join us as we learn from award-winning local gardener Jack Kouwenhoven on "amending the soil for planting and the best methods for healthy vegetables". 3 pm: Learn from local gardening expert, Brian Minter, the secrets for success with the most popular and sometimes challenging crops such as potatoes, other root crops, brassicas, tomatoes, and peppers, as well as the best methods of organic pest management.

Pinterest Project of the Month - Upcycled Wind Chime With Stephanie Brubaker. On the last Wednesday of each month the Art Room hosts an evening class of Pinterest inspires craft projects: Wed. April 30 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Ages 13 - Adult. Using old cookie cutters, beads, buttons, coins and findings from around the house students will create a beautiful wind chime that will be as unique as the person it is for. Final designs may vary from photo. Cost: $ 20 members, $ 25 non members.
