The exhibition illustrates that the moments we capture and the stories we tell with our images are all contingent on the quality and nature of the light on our subject. Light creates mood: who’s spirits haven’t been lifted by a magnificent sunrise or sunset? Light reflects back on windows and water. Light casts shadows to create drama or a moment of whimsy. European Fire Ants (EFAs) are a nuisance that can deliver painful stings and are known to exist in Chilliwack. They are most likely spread through the movement of infested garden material. Please join us to learn about EFAs and how to reduce their spread in Chilliwack. Guest speakers from Thompson Rivers University and the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens will present information on EFAs and control methods being tested.

Adults, 6:30 - 8:00 pm. $68. Yoga creates an opportunity to consciously slow down and concentrate on movement while being aware of our bodies. Join Yoga instructor Dee as she leads the group through a series of poses to create peace and balance in your life. Each session will end with a guided meditation for relaxation to calm your mind and melt away stress. Class is suitable for all levels of practice.

Ages 2-4 years. 4:45 - 5:30 pm. $60. This parent participation program allows young gymnasts to explore gymnastic activities in a structured class, with the guidance of a parent. Your child will learn fundamental gymnastic movements and experiment using rhythmic gymnastics equipment, while developing gross motor skills and coordination.

Ages 7-11 years. 6:00 - 7:00 pm. $50. New treats this session! Learn how to make mouthwatering treats perfect for any occasion. Students will learn to make a variety of delectable desserts, savory snacks, and a homemade recipe book of treats made during the program.

Ages 4-6 years. 5:45 - 6:30 pm. $60. Kids will have fun and get physically active while learning the basics of rhythmic gymnastics. Certified coaches will incorporate movement to music with a variety of apparatus such as ribbons, hoops, ropes, balls and more!

Ages 7-11 years. 6:45 - 7:45 pm. $45. Love shooting hoops, dribbling the ball…. Then join us for some B-ball. Have fun while learning great drills and fundamental skills.

Vedder Elementary School will be hosting a spring market featuring local artisans and vendors. 35 plus booths will be open for business from 10:00-4:00 in our school gym. Fundraising for this event will be used towards green space upgrades in keeping with April's earth month.

Admission is $2. Children under 10 are free.

Ages: 11 + years. 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. $45. Basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11–15 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to younger children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. Participants will receive a Canadian Red Cross Babysitting certificate upon completion.
