Meet with other coloring enthusiasts in town to share this great hobby and compare your artwork! 1:30-2:30 pm The Yarrow library is hosting its second Edible Book Day Contest. This annual international event is celebrated on or around April 1 around the world. Families are invited to create a favorite edible book in the following categories: Adult, Family, Teen or Child. Individuals (of all ages) and groups are welcome to attend and participate in the “Edible Books Festival" simply by creating something edible that is somehow book related. The entries will be exhibited and Judged between 12:30 - 1:30 pm. Pickup your contest registration and rules at all three libraries and submit your registration at the Yarrow Library. Entries can be dropped off at the Yarrow Library between 10:00 and 1 pm. on Saturday April 2.

Come join us for a fun evening of East Coast Swing dancing! We're thrilled to have Wylin Tjoelker of Wylin's Swing Euphorium in Washington with us to teach a beginners' lesson, followed by dancing until around 10pm. No partner needed. Wylin is a fantastic instructor and you'll catch on quickly, even if you're completely new to swing dancing.

Saturday:, April 9, 16, 23, and 30 10:30 am – 11:30 am Reduce tears and tantrums by signing with your baby before they can talk. Join a qualified instructor in our parent workshop and learn how to sign with your baby through handouts, lectures, videos and interactive games. The Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra and Chorus invite you to be uplifted in the spirit of renewal as we all welcome the 2016 spring season with the joy of music and celebration as they present their concert VOICES on April 9, 7:30 p.m. at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre. Featured in addition to the orchestra and chorus are several vocal ensembles including the Chilliwack Children’s Choir, a Male Chorus, Belle Voci, and the CSO Starlets. Bethesda Christian Association invites you to A Dessert & Fundraising Evening as well as an exclusive tour of Vedder Terrace, a 9-unit townhouse complex offering affordable and individualized housing options for individuals with a disability. The event runs from 6 to 9 pm and features free desserts, a silent auction from 6 to 8 pm, and a live auction starting at 7:30 pm. Funds will go toward purchasing appliances and furniture for the townhouse.

There is no admission fee and no registration is required. Bethesda is a non-profit organization that supports individuals in BC with disabilities.

Get the support to help you quit smoking for good! Run to Quit is an innovative 10-week smoking cessation program where participants learn to walk or run 5K while receiving practical support on quitting smoking.

The Canadian Cancer Society has partnered with the Running Room to bring our respective expertise to Run to Quit, an innovative program that teaches tobacco users how to use running as a way to effectively quit smoking. We piloted Run to Quit in Ontario and the results speak for themselves: Run to Quit participants were 7 times more likely to successfully quit smoking than those who tried to quit cold turkey. If a 10-week Learn to Run/Quit Program doesn’t sound like your thing but you like the ideas of quitting, you can Commit to Quit and still be eligible for the contest! Why should you Run to Quit!? 1.
