Feedback Sought on Chilliwack’s Curbside Collection Program October 23, 2023

Chilliwack, BC: The City of Chilliwack is seeking feedback from residents who are on the City’s Curbside Collection Program. Input from the public will allow the City to conduct a comprehensive review of the program before beginning to draft the new curbside contract. Residents are invited to complete the survey until November 10 at engagechilliwack.com/curbside-survey.

The City of Chilliwack’s Curbside Collection Program includes garbage, recycling, compostable waste, and glass pickup. The survey focuses on collection frequency, type of containers and sizes available, and collection method preferences. Those who complete the survey may enter a draw to win a $100 Visa gift card.

“Over the last few years, our curbside program has gone through a number of changes, including the introduction of compostable waste and glass pickup,” said Mayor Popove. “As we work on the next contract, it’s important for us to hear from residents so we can develop a program that continues to meet the needs of the community.”

Paper copies of the survey will also be available for pickup during regular business hours at City Hall (8550 Young Road). The results of the survey will be shared in December at engagechilliwack.com/curbside-survey. Residents with access needs or further questions may also contact the Environmental Services Department directly at [email protected] or 604.793.2787.
