Chilliwack currently has over 650 km of paved roadways. High quality roadways reduce the lifecycle of maintenance costs, accommodate all travel modes and incorporate safety engineering.
The Asphalt Paving Program reviews community roads by considering traffic volumes, condition of the road, structural quality and costs in order to prioritize the repaving of roadways. The repaving program is jointly funded by Gas Tax Revenue and Municipal Taxation Revenues.
