Ch. Harmony is a non-profit society open to the public.

This class is 100% free and available to everyone. We provide the space, teacher, mats and props. Studio B aspires to encourage community members to embrace a balanced and mindful lifestyle. Gently flow through your practice while working on poses. This class accommodates a wide range of experience levels from beginner to students that have practiced for a long period of time. The class works on a balance between strength and flexibility while building endurance and improving your breathing and posture.

This class is held every Saturday from 12-1 pm with a rotating teacher. Participants may create a profile and register online. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early.

Students will develop their drawing abilities through a series of exercises, exploring various views, basic shapes, structures, proportions, and shading to create expressive faces. Students will develop their drawing abilities through a series of fun exercises, exploring contour drawing, solid three-dimensional shapes, shading to create form, and still life.

Adult Class: This class is for beginners and intermediate artists who wish to create a variety of ceramic pieces without the use of a potters' wheel. This class will cover numerous dish making processes as well as many interesting surface techniques.

Kids' Class: In this class students will learn the basic elements of illustration and composition including basic anatomy, perspective and foreshortening. Students will also move on to the art of inkling pencilled drawings to add colour and finally put it all together to tell a story!

Adult Class: Wheel throwing for beginner pottery students or those wishing to continue to build their skills on the wheel. Students will be taken through the entire process from creating on the wheel to finishing off their work through glazing and firing. This is an eight week course, with seven weeks of wheel work and one of glazing.

Drop by the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve between 11 am and 3 pm to view the spawning salmon at this free community event. Our environmental education staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and point out behaviors…of the fish! A viewing shelter with information and activities will be set up next to the spawning channels which are a 2 minute walk from the Rotary Interpretative Centre. WildSafeBC and Fisheries and Oceans Canada will be on hand with informative and interactive booths.

Living on a retirement income is challenging for obvious reasons – income is fixed but the cost of living continues to increase year after year. Lisa Rogers is a Financial Educator with the Credit Counseling Society. She has over 10 years of experience as an educator and facilitator, her presentation will cover ways to decrease expenses and potentially earn income, specifically for those in retirement. Budgeting tips, ways to save and useful resources will be discussed. Chilliwack Restorative Justice and Youth Advocacy Association's newest fundraising initiative is "The Longest Running 50/50" which will run from November 6, 2015 to December 31, 2015.
