Living on a retirement income is challenging for obvious reasons – income is fixed but the cost of living continues to increase year after year. Lisa Rogers is a Financial Educator with the Credit Counseling Society. She has over 10 years of experience as an educator and facilitator, her presentation will cover ways to decrease expenses and potentially earn income, specifically for those in retirement. Budgeting tips, ways to save and useful resources will be discussed. Chilliwack Restorative Justice and Youth Advocacy Association's newest fundraising initiative is "The Longest Running 50/50" which will run from November 6, 2015 to December 31, 2015. Tickets are 10 tickets for $10.00 or 30 tickets for $20.00. The funds raised will be used to expand our program in the schools and help at risk youth in the community. With each purchased ticket you have a chance to win 50% of the money raised. The winning ticket will be drawn at noon on December 31, 2015 at Cottonwood Mall.
